Little Acorns - New Baby Unit
Our new Baby unit - The First days are a big step for the children and the parents. We understand this and work to make this time as easy as possible.
Children have the experience to explore their surroundings with the use of treasure baskets, and messy tactile play children are becoming more aware of their environment. We carry on your child's routine making the transition back to work as easy as possible, with settling sessions and chats with members of staff within the baby unit.
Acorns - 2 yr- 3 yr old's
Acorns... children from 2 years - 3 years of age.
This is where we bridge the gap between Baby unit and Saplings.
We are developing at a faster rate, enjoying role play, making friends and friendly behaviour, outside play, mud kitchen, stories and singing.
We will help with parents to develop new skills including potty training, transition from beakers to cups, starting to recognise numbers and colours.
Children are now starting to explore in their environment, and it is lovely to see them making friendship groups. Imagination is now flourishing, children have a wide range of different role play activities.
We have good liaison with the schools within the village. The children make good progress with their "i can skills" giving them the opportunity to widen their potential with name and number recognition, Singing hands (Makaton) and encouraging them to develop their independence to enable an easy transition to school.
All Children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace by means of appropriate play activities and a high level of individual adult input, within all rooms.
I have know Sally for years so when it came time to arrange my sons nursery care I didn't hesitate to contact anywhere else. We did go for a walk round but I knew I wouldn't send Jack anywhere else.
It felt like home from home.
Jack has flourished massively and learning is above his age level (as per his Oxley teachers) and this is all down to the early start lot of learning from all at the Oak Treehouse.
I'm due to send my little girl here soon and know that she is in the best hands.
Thank you Sally and the oaks Treehouse.

2 of my children attended the Oaktree House Nursery, they both absolutely loved it and gained confidence to be ready for school, my youngest still attends the wrap around care and holiday club and loves going.
All of the staff are so friendly and extremely caring towards the children, it really is like home from home for them, i can't thank them all enough for the support they have given my children and remain to do with my youngest son
