About Our Nursery & Wrap around Care

Day Nursery-enhancing your child's world.

Ever since 2008, The Oak Treehouse has been providing children with a rich , dynamic and ever changing learning environment. The Oak Treehouse is located in Shepshed on the Shepshed Campus with St Botolph's Primary School and Iveshead School. We are registered for places for children aged 6months - 5years. We encourage both staff and students alike to grow, learn and create during each passing day.

Little Acorns - New Baby Unit

Our new Baby unit - The First days are a big step for the children and the parents.  We understand this and work to make this time as easy as possible.

Children have the experience to explore their surroundings with the use of treasure baskets, and messy tactile play children are becoming more aware of their environment. We carry on your child's routine making the transition back to work as easy as possible, with settling sessions and chats with members of staff within the baby unit.

 Acorns - 2 yr- 3 yr old's

Acorns... children from 2 years - 3 years of age.
This is where we bridge the gap between Baby unit and Saplings.

We are developing at a faster rate, enjoying role play, making friends and friendly behaviour, outside play, mud kitchen, stories and singing.

We will help with parents to develop new skills including potty training, transition from beakers to cups, starting to recognise numbers and colours.

Saplings

Children are now starting to explore in their environment, and it is lovely to see them making friendship groups.  Imagination is now flourishing, children have a wide range of different role play activities.
We have good liaison with the schools within the village. The children make good progress with their "i can skills" giving them the opportunity to widen their potential with name and number recognition, Singing hands (Makaton) and encouraging them to develop their independence to enable an easy transition to school.

All Children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace by means of appropriate play activities and a high level of individual adult input, within all rooms.
