New Term - Dates to remember
The New term for those starting back is Thursday 1st September.
Half term is Monday 17th to Friday 21st Ocotber
End of term - Thursday evening the 22nd December.
Parents Evening
We felt the evening went well - Please don't forget that Learning journeys are available for you to see and discuss with your child’s key worker at any time, especially if you are worried. If you need to arrange a time please let the team know and we can sort out a suitable time for you both to have a chat.
Recommendations & spaces
We do have a few space for babies and wrap around care. If you would like to increase your child's time or know of someone who is looking for Nursery care – please recommend us! As the majority of children that attend the Oak Tree, come on recommendation from yourselves.—Thank you.
Acorns
Welcome to all our new starters who have all settled in really well.
If you have had a special occasion recently whether it’s a holiday, birthday, new sibling or any other special event could you please bring photos in from home to go into their learning journeys.
Could all older children within the room please bring in a rain coat and wellies so that we can play outside in all weathers. These can be left at nursery or brought in each day. Also as the weather gets colder could you please supply hat’s, coats and gloves as we like to play outside as much as possible but still like to stay warm, and some of our nursery supplies are dwindling. Within your nursery bags can all children have a full spare set of clothing including pants and socks just incase we get a little messy.
Saplings
Sapling would like to welcome all the new starters to the new room.
This term we will be working on name recognition and for those who are ready, practice in starting to write our names.
We will be covering various topics and activities throughout the term, so please look out for posters/note on the door or in pots asking for different items to support these topics.
Just a quick reminder to bring spare clothing, and appropriate outdoor clothing so we can go outside in all weathers. We do try to keep the children as paint free! as possible but please NO best clothes—thank you. Please feel free to pop in at any time if you have any questions.
Also please check your pots before you go home, as they might have letters, reports and art work to go home.
Treehouse
We are still enroling children for this coming term. if you need to adjust your sessions please come and see me as soon as possible.
Could we please remind parents to ensure that all children have a waterproof coat, as the majority will choose to spend time outside after having spent the day in a classroom.
Over the summer
We have visited a number of places - Barneys - Rushcliffe Country Park - Oak Farm Park all the children have throughly enjoyed these little trips out and hopefully we can do more in the future.
